Outreach + Engagement
Building a sustainable food future, together.
Our Outreach + Engagement team seeks to advance sustainable protein food technologies in a way that aligns with stakeholder and community needs, through close collaborations and partnerships. We believe lasting success comes from listening to and working alongside those we serve.
That’s why we focus efforts on designing and implementing initiatives that promote two-way information exchange with stakeholders about sustainable protein technologies. This dialogue helps us create better research and innovation strategies while building trust with communities. We also bring together industry members, policymakers, and other key agri-food system stakeholders to discuss policy trends, identifying both opportunities and obstacles ahead, and charting the path forward.
Our collaborative efforts include:
- Research on stakeholders and policy: Analyzing key stakeholders, including policy, market, and consumer sectors, to inform our work and the broader field.
- Engagement with multi-stakeholder consortia to guide research priorities: Participating and contributing to multi-stakeholder initiatives and workshops to guide research priorities for future sustainable proteins.
- Community engagement and outreach: Hosting outreach events and activities to share information, gather perspectives, and hear feedback, while also fostering understanding, acceptance, and adoption.
- Thought leadership: Advancing the field of sustainable protein food technologies through leadership initiatives, such as the CASA-BIO program, GFI’s meat biomimicry workshop, and through international partnerships (e.g., International Cellular Agriculture Network).
